Koos Kaspers.nl :: Remove Application space limit

„Apples 1.1.1 firmware is much larger than 1.0.2 was. That leaves much less space for installing 3rd-party applications. Couple that with the fact the Installer.app 3.0 doesnt tell you how much free space you have left, and you have a recipe for disaster. Additionally, I found that by default, you cannot have more than 80 application directories in /Applications, or the SpringBoard crashes and will not start. Whats a person to do? Well, I dont know what you will do, but this is what I did (Note: if you screw up your iPhone, I take no responsibility):

1. I installed SummerBoard, which allows for more than 80 application directories in /Applications
2. I remounted the Media partition without the noexec option, moved my entire /Applications directory to /var/root/Applications, and made /Applications a symbolic link that points to private/var/root/Applications.“

PHPIDS » Web Application Security 2.0 & Index

„PHPIDS (PHP-Intrusion Detection System) is a simple to use, well structured, fast and state-of-the-art security layer for your PHP based web application. The IDS neither strips, sanitizes nor filters any malicious input, it simply recognizes when an attacker tries to break your site and reacts in exactly the way you want it to. Based on a set of approved and heavily tested filter rules any attack is given a numerical impact rating which makes it easy to decide what kind of action should follow the hacking attempt. This could range from simple logging to sending out an emergency mail to the development team, displaying a warning message for the attacker or even ending the users session.“

https://hotspot.t-mobile.net/wlan/index.do?username
[email protected]&password=PASSWORT
&strHinweis=Zahlungsbedingungen&strAGB=AGB

Amar Sagoo – Tofu

„Tofu is a novel application to address the common problem that people don’t like reading text on the screen.

Why is that anyway? I believe there are two main reasons: line width and visual instability.

Text is usually very wide on the screen, which makes going from the end of one line to the beginning of the next difficult. That’s why newspapers have narrow columns: It makes them faster to read.

So why not just take a normal window and make it narrower, scrolling down as you need? Well, there are usually a lot of lines in a text, and all look more or less the same, so if they move past your eyes vertically, they are difficult to keep track of. The text doesn’t feel stable, and you get lost easily.

In Tofu, text is arranged in columns, and each column is only as high as your window. So lines are nice and narrow, and they don’t move about vertically. You just scroll from column to column horizontally, and feel more in control. Bonus: your text is now also in easy-to-digest chunks.“
